“WOW” 😂

I have to admit, this is one of my favourite reactions when I show people around our caravans.

There seems to be a bit of a problem with the word caravan.

Say “caravan holiday” and some people immediately picture something from 1987, with brown curtains, a tiny kitchen and a mysterious smell you can’t quite identify. 😂

But then they walk into one of ours…

“Wow! It’s lovely!”

Yes. Yes it is. 😁

Our caravans are proper little holiday homes. They’re warm, comfortable and spacious, with full kitchens, bathrooms (some ensuite), comfy beds and everything you need for a holiday on Mull. Some are a bit more luxurious than others, but even our simpler ones are cosy and comfortable.

And some have rather lovely views too, looking over the burn with dippers, wagtails and our very own heron.

We have a rolling programme of replacing older caravans, with two caravans replaced every year. It means we’re constantly investing in the site and gradually bringing in newer, better caravans rather than letting everything get tired and dated.

I get it though. I think people sometimes arrive with fairly low expectations because they haven’t stayed in a caravan for years – or perhaps ever.

Then I open the door and watch the expression change.

“Oh… this is nice.”

“That’s a bigger kitchen than I expected.”

“There’s actually loads of room!”

And my personal favourite:

“It’s better than my house.” 😂

So if you’re looking at accommodation for a trip to Mull and have dismissed caravans because you think they’re going to be a bit basic, have another look.

You might just be pleasantly surprised.

And if you come to stay, I’ll be watching for that “WOW!” moment. 😉❤️
